Best Instagrammable spots in London in 2021

Whether you are visiting London for a short getaway or for a long holiday, there is no surprise that you will want to get the best pictures from your trip. On the other hand, if you are from London but you are tired of going to the same places, now is the time to explore your own city! Below, I have outlined some of my favourite Instagrammable spots in London . These are all a must visit if you want to get THE perfect Instagram.

Albert Bridge

This stunning bridge is located just outside of Battersea park, and it connects Chelsea with Battersea. It is the most beautiful at sunset and at night, when it is illuminated by 4,000 LED lights. During sunset, if you are lucky enough with the weather, the sky turns pink and perfectly reflects the glowing of the bridge. It is one of the most beautiful sights and Instagrammable spots in London.

📸 Where to take the picture: The bridge can be seen very well from Battersea park along the riverside. There are also benches where you can sit down, relax and watch the sunset over the bridge. My favourite spot to take the picture however is right before the bridge. It is usually quite empty at night with less cars driving by, so if you are feeling reckless you can try to stand in the road to pose right in front of the bridge. If you want inspiration, you can see below how mine turned out!

St Luke’s Mews, Notting Hill

St Luke’s Mews is definitely one of London’s most iconic spots. You must have seen the pink wall everywhere, and this is exactly where it is located. No matter the season, this is a great place to visit and to give your Instagram feed a splash of pink.

📸 Where to take the picture: the mews may be known for its pink wall but it also has a few colourful doors where you can get the best picture to match your feed.

St Dunstan In The East

This is one of the most beautiful destinations to visit in the City of London. St Dunstan In The East is a hidden gem known mostly by the locals (and now the bloggers). There are so many Insta opportunities here that you will want to stay for hours to capture the magic that your eyes are seeing.

📸 Where to take the picture: there are very big beautiful arches that let the light in where everyone takes that famous shot. This is also a great shot as the Shard can also be seen and can give your picture a more iconic ‘London’ feeling.

Bywater Street, Chelsea

This is by far my favourite street in Chelsea and one of the most instagrammable spots in London. There are loads of cute spots in the area but Bywater street is the one with the most colourful buildings. The pastel coloured houses make for the best shot, no matter what you are wearing. You can find a house that matches your outfit!

📸 Where to take the picture: in front of the buildings, of course!

One New Change, Aldwych

Another iconic London photo spot is located at One New Change, near St Paul’s Cathedral. This spot is actually not so easy to find – I say this because when I tried to find it for the first time, I got pretty lost!

Here is how you can get there – when you are facing St Paul’s (from the side of the Millenium Bridge), cross the street and walk along the side of the cathedral. On your right, you will see a mall and a little open space inside it. This is where you want to go, as this spot offers the best view of St Paul’s Cathedral and is every photographer’s go-to spot!

📸 Where to take the picture: Take a picture in front of St Paul’s. Here you can also play around with the reflections in the glass. I have seen some very creative shots taken here!

Millenium Bridge, Southwark

Leading up to St Paul’s Catherdal, you have the Insta-famous Millenium Bridge. This bridge is one of the most Instagrammable spots in London because it has a direct view of St Paul’s and a great view over the Tower Bridge, the Shard and the London skyline in general.

📸 Where to take the picture: the ideal picture here you can take on the bridge itself, with St Paul’s on the background. Try to find a time to go when there are not too many people walking around, and you may even be able to get a shot of yourself alone on the bridge. The best time to come here is during sunrise or sunset, when the sunlight is not as harsh.

The Umbrella Street, Camden

This is a street I discovered recently and it became one of my new favourite places to visit in London. I loved the colourful umbrellas and how hidden away this whole street is within Camden Market! It is also one of the places tat really do not look like London.

📸 Where to take the picture: take the picture facing the street with all the shops. It is difficult to get a picture here without people but it is definitely worth trying.

Hello Darling, Waterloo

If you asked me what is so special about this place, then I honestly wouldn’t know what to say to you. But somehow the Hello Darling facade has become one of the most photographed places in the Instagram world. In fact, I was actually surprised with how nice the pictures turned out!

📸. Where to take the picture: it is a bit of a tough spot to take a picture here because you would have to stand right in the middle of the road to be in front of the sign. If you don’t fancy risking your life for Instagram, then I would definitely recommend standing on the little island there when you pose.
