10 of the Best Bars in Tbilisi for a Fun Night Out

Tbilisi has, over the years, become one of the coolest cities in Eurasia. With its buzzing nightlife and electronic music scene, more and more places have emerged in the city. Whether you are looking for a place to get a cocktail, socialise or simply to experience what the Georgian nightlife has to offer, this list of the 10 best bars in Tbilisi has been hand selected by the locals. Georgia is known for its wine, so in this list I have ensured to include places to taste some unique wines too. From trendy cocktail lounges to cosy wine bars, you will find a place here that suits your liking.

1. Fabrika

Fabrika is one of the bars in Tbilisi that will never go out of style. For a while now, this hostel and bar has been a social space for the youth of Georgia and the go-to place for every visitor. Originally, the building was a Soviet-era sewing factory, and has since been transformed into a social space. The place to go is the courtyard, where you will find a selection of different bars and restaurants, as well as shops. Come here to eat, hang out, or grab a drink from one of the bars. You can also dance in one of the clubs here until the morning sun if you so wish.

This bar has placed a big role in furthering the role of Tbilisi as the party capital, contributing to the cultural scene of the city.

2. Lolita

One of the trendiest bars in the city, Lolita always delivers on good vibes, amazing drinks and incredible food. If you want to enjoy a fun atmosphere, Lolita will not disappoint – you will find here a red neon garden, where you can enjoy conversations with your friends.

This is also the perfect place to enjoy some delicious Georgian food. The menu varies and offers a wide range of other food options too if you are not feeling like Georgian.

This is an incredibly aesthetic place that you must visit if you are looking for those aesthetic Instagram shots.

3. Meoba Bar

If you are looking for a fun night with some music, head to Meoba Bar. On weekends, this place gets quite busy as people come here to have drinks and dance.

The most unique part of this bar is the jukebox, where you can queue a song that you like. This will guarantee that you will be dancing here all night long!

The drinks here range from spirits to wine, everything that you may wish for.

4. Stamba Hotel

Stamba hotel is a must visit in Tbilisi, whether you are after food or drinks. A luxury boutique hotel in the centre of the city, Stamba has one of the trendiest bars and restaurants in the city, called Cafe Stamba. The setting itself is incredibly unique too as the building is a renovated Soviet-era publishing house.

The bar here is located next to the restaurant, and has an outdoor terrace, making it perfect for those warm summer days. It also helps that the interior is incredibly aesthetic, as it preserves the industrial feel but adds a unique modern element.

Address: 14 Merab Kostava St, Tbilisi 0108, Georgia

5. Wine Factory N1

A former wine factory from the 19th century, Wine factory N1 re-opened a couple years ago as a very trendy square housing lots of bars inside it. It is one of the most unique bars in Tbilisi. It is also the ideal place to come to grab a couple drinks as well as some food, as the restaurant options here are great too.

The cellar is split into a few areas, including the wine cellars, the party areas and the restaurants. This is the perfect opportunity to try the best of the Georgian wines as well, particularly if you are not planning to visit the wine region of Kahketi.

6. Bassiani

A renowned techno club in Tbilisi, Bassiani is more of a club than a bar. It is the largest techno club in Georgia and has a capacity of 1,200 people. It is located inside Tbilisi’s biggest stadium, and the abandoned pool is used as the dance floor.

If you do here, make sure that you are prepared as the experience can be a little intense. It is not very easy to get in, and if you do, expect Berlin-style vibe and heavy techno music. The inside also gets very smoky but the club does have outdoor areas of course.

Bassiani is very different from the rest of the aesthetic and relaxed bars on this list, it is absolutely worth the visit for the experience.

7. LoveBar

Love Bar is another place where you can head to if you feel like dancing. The best time to go here is on a weekend, when the best DJs are performing and the dance floor gets very busy. The vibes are amazing and the songs are usually great too.

This is definitely a less intense place to visit than Bassiani, so if you are looking for something more laid back but a fun night out and fun songs, head to Love Bar.

8. Iasamani

Hidden away in the heart of Tbilisi, this bar is truly the hidden gem of the city and has to be one of my favourite bars. With the prettiest cocktails and a run-down but sophisticated vibe, Iasamani is the perfect place to get to know that unique Tbilisi vibe. It is not only a bar, but also a restaurant, serving the most delicious Georgian food with a modern twist.

This is the perfect bar in Tbilisi to visit with friends, have a cocktail, or enjoy an evening with food as well as drinks.

Address: 33 Lado Asatiani St, Tbilisi 0105, Georgia

9. Monograph

Located on the terrace of the Monograph hotel, this bar is the best place to visit if you are visiting Tbilisi for the first time. With a cosy atmosphere and an incredible view of some of the most iconic monuments in the city, this bar serves delicious cocktails alongside an extensive food menu which includes everything from burgers to pasta.

The Monograph bar feels very relaxed but is definitely fancier and more expensive than some of the others on this list. However, I think that the views and vibes make it really worth visiting.

10. Sky Bar

If you want a bar with a more formal feel, you may want to consider Sky Bar. Located on the 37th floor, this bar offers some of the best views of the city. I recommend going at night or during sunset so you can see the city lights as they sparkle in the dark.

The cocktails here are really unique and delicious, making it the perfect place for a nice drink or a fancy night out with your friends. You can also enjoy delicious tapas and sushi to go with the drinks. This is the perfect spot for a girls’ night out, mostly due to the incredible picture opportunities!

They also have DJs and events here, so make sure to check the schedule on their Instagram if you plan to go.
